When Storytelling Becomes Legacy Work

Building a Business With Purpose
"The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away." — Pablo Picasso
Every business begins with an idea.
Some begin by solving a problem.
Others begin by following an opportunity.
Mine began with a question.
What happens to our stories if no one preserves them?
As I looked through old family photographs and listened to the stories behind them, I realised something profound.
A photograph can show us a moment.
But it's the story that gives it life.
Without the story, future generations may know the faces—but never the people.
That's when I realised this business was never really about creating videos, photobooks or digital keepsakes.
It was about preserving identity.
Every Family Holds a Legacy
When people hear the word legacy, they often think of wealth, achievements or something left behind at the end of life.
But I see legacy differently.
Legacy is the recipe that's still made every Christmas.
The courage that carried a family through difficult times.
The traditions that continue from one generation to the next.
The laughter that filled a family home.
The values that shaped children into adults.
Legacy isn't built in one extraordinary moment.
It's woven through thousands of ordinary ones.
Purpose Lives in the Stories We Save
Every project I create begins the same way.
With a conversation.
A box of old photographs.
A handful of treasured memories.
Sometimes there's laughter.
Sometimes there are tears.
Always, there's love.
What I've learnt is that people rarely remember dates.
They remember how someone made them feel.
They remember a favourite saying.
A familiar laugh.
The way a grandparent held their hand.
Those are the details that deserve to be preserved.
Because they're the details that make a life unforgettable.
A Business Built on Connection
In a world that moves quickly, storytelling asks us to slow down.
To reflect.
To remember.
To appreciate the people and moments that shaped us.
That's why this business has never been about producing content.
It's about creating connection.
Between generations.
Between the past and the present.
Between families and the stories that define them.
Every keepsake I create becomes part of someone else's family history.
That is both a privilege and a responsibility I never take lightly.
Why This Work Matters
I believe every family deserves more than a collection of photographs.
They deserve a story that can be shared.
A legacy that can be passed on.
A keepsake that reminds future generations not only what their family looked like—but who they were.
If my work can help even one family preserve the memories that matter most, then this business has fulfilled its purpose.
Because in the end, we won't be remembered for the number of things we owned.
We'll be remembered for the lives we touched and the stories we chose to keep alive.
